Near by Gunbower Island is more than 50kms in length, stretching from Koondrook in the west to Torrumbarry Weir in the east. Kangaroos, possums, emus and goannas abound on the island, sharing the space with 160 species of birds. From the park it is a 6 kms drive to the boat ramp on Australias Greatest River the Murray. Facilities in the town include, pub, roadhouse, general store and renowned butchers. Directions: We are a 25 minute drive from Echuca heading west on the Murray Valley Hwy (B400), following the signs to Kerang/Cohuna. On arrival to Gunbower we are on the right hand side just pass the shops.
